Throughout the Covid-19 crisis Lymington Cat & Kitten Rescue has remained fully committed to the best possible treatment of the animals in our care. The response from our many friends and supporters has been magnificent and we thank you all for your donations, co-operation and understanding.

Now, amid the partial lifting of lockdown restrictions, we continue to take cautious steps towards the “new normal”.

Our Highfield Avenue rescue centre in Lymington is fully functional and we are able to take in cats and kittens, subject to conditions. Priority will be given to emergency cases, but whatever the situation we will always try to help if we can.

If anyone requires assistance with the care and rehoming of queens and kittens – no matter whether tame or feral – please do not hesitate to contact us on 01590 678663 or 07739 109029.

Anyone wishing to adopt a pet can visit us and meet the cats available for rehoming – PROVIDED AN APPOINTMENT IS MADE FIRST. To maintain social distancing, no more than two visitors per party, please. To book an appointment call 01590 678663 or 07739 109029.

We have been inundated with offers to adopt kittens and, at present, demand far exceeds supply. We have a waiting list of prospective adopters and we aim to meet as many requests as possible. As a general rule, the more flexible you can be in terms of colour, gender, etc, the sooner we are likely to be able to find a kitten for you.

Our charity shops in Lymington, Milford-on-Sea and New Milton have all reopened, but initially with restricted opening hours until staffing levels are restored – check with your local branch.  To protect customers and staff, strict rules to achieve social distancing are in place, as will a comprehensive package of hygiene and safety measures.

Your donations of goods to sell in our shops are much appreciated, but for safety and logistical reasons please do NOT bring them without first contacting us either by email at info@lymicat.org or by phoning 01590 678663 or 07739 109029. In some cases we may be able to arrange collection.
