We would like to assure our many friends and supporters that Lymington Cat & Kitten Rescue will continue to operate throughout and beyond the current Covid-19 crisis.

Our rescue and rehoming centre remains fully committed to the continued provision of the best possible treatment for the animals in our care.

That said, we have now moved into lockdown following the Prime Minister’s address to the nation on Monday 23 March. This means:

* All visits and appointments to view are suspended until further notice.

* No homings can proceed for the time being. If you have already arranged to adopt an animal, that arrangement WILL be honoured when circumstances permit.

We have revised our staffing rotas to ensure minimum footfall at our rescue centre and we continue to observe social distancing protocols.

If you have any enquiry, please do NOT visit the rescue centre but email or call 07739 109029. One of us will contact you as soon as possible. We will prioritise emergency cases.

Our charity shops in Lymington, Milford-on-Sea and New Milton all remain closed until further notice.

If you have items to donate, please do NOT leave them at the shops but call 07739 109029.

We thank you all for your wonderful support, not least all the kind people who have been donating cat food to top up our supplies – you are all heroes.

Above all, please take care of yourselves and your loved ones, and stay safe. For many of us, this is the biggest peacetime crisis of our lives – but with commonsense precautions we WILL come through it.

Love and thanks to you all.

Jon Hancock & Theresa Foot (Co-Managers, Lymington Cat & Kitten Rescue)
