Help dear Mimi… and you could be helping us too!

Animal lovers are being urged to support a crowdfunding campaign to finance veterinary treatment for a well-loved “celebrity” cat in Lymington.

Mimi, a beautiful fluffy tabby, needed major surgery after being hit by a car. A familiar sight in the Ampress area – not to mention a regular visitor to the nearby hospital and industrial estate – she has touched the hearts of many.

To meet the costs of Mimi’s treatment, Sherri Cowen launched a campaign 0n justgiving.com to raise £700. And she has kindly offered to donate the balance to Lymington Cat & Kitten Rescue if the final bill is less than expected.

Poor Mimi managed to struggle to safety after her accident and was taken straight to the vet, who discovered she had fractured both sides of her jaw. After an operation to wire it together she was taken home to convalesce.

There is every hope that she will make an excellent recovery.

At the time of publishing this post, the crowdfunding campaign was more than two-thirds of the way towards the £700 target. If you can help in any way, please do so.
