Seadown shoeboxes make it a happy catty Christmas

The wonderful support Lymington Cat & Kitten Rescue enjoys from so many organisations, businesses and individuals was illustrated perfectly over Christmas 2016.

Not for the first time, the Seadown Veterinary Group chose us as one of the animal charities to benefit from its Christmas Shoebox appeal.

Staff and clients were invited to fill boxes with goodies and essentials for felines in need of a festive fillip – and they certainly came up trumps.

Are these all mine? Jenson casts a covetous eye over some of the Christmas parcels.

In fact an impressive car-load of boxes arrived at our rescue centre in Highfield Avenue over the holiday period.

The impressive delivery included hundreds of sachets and tins of cat food, not to mention treats, toys, blankets and cash donations.

“To see all these beautifully gift-wrapped boxes brought a lump to the throat and a tear to the eye,” said LCKR treasurer Jon Hancock.

“People went to considerable trouble and expense to help us and we can’t thank them enough.”
